NHS are now Social Prescribing doses of LovingKindness!

Finally your GP can now prescribe you with a regular dose of LovingKindness – Like flowers need water, humans need to hear good, positive words and connect meaningfully to others regularly which is really hard to do in our virtual world. It’s not rocket science to know that when we are left to our own devices too long that the negative voice in the head will go into overdrive. That can effect how we feel about ourselves, our life in general and not in a good way! Negative thinking can spiral quickly out of all proportion if you don’t catch it. People can then easily hit a depression & believe with conviction that life has got a lot colder and meaner than it use to be.

Sep. 13 2021 – (London, UK) – It is now estimated that 12million adults in Great Britain are effected by loneliness and half a million people go at least five or six days a week without seeing or speaking to anyone!  (stats by the ONS). Covid-19 and ‘lockdowns’ has isolated many and also created a lot of social anxiety for people causing ‘re-entry anxiety syndrome’ to work and life in general

Social prescribing, also sometimes known as a ‘referral, is a means of enabling health professionals to refer people to a range of local, non-clinical services. The referrals generally, but not exclusively, come from professionals working in primary care settings, for example, GPs, practice nurses and link workers.  Many factors affect our wellbeing, be it physical, socio-economic or environmental & it is estimated that 1 in 5 visits to a GP is for a social issue rather than a medical one. 

At iamlovingkindnessnetwork our members attend our livestream group sessions to feel a sense of community, connection & belonging in our virtual world. Our members experience the positive effects of our uplifting sessions designed to gently motivate & dispel feelings of loneliness and disconnection. Our sessions build confidence and creates lots of positive energy. Our group online sessions include group gratitude, Lovingkindness practices that overall lift our mood and creates a heart-warming sense of hope and wellbeing. We livestream daily on Zoom (you can access these via our members hub) and our members choose if they wish to participate in some of the practices or just relax and sit back and listen. Stress free zone!

& the good news is that you don’t have to wait until you see the doctor to use our service. We don’t want anyone to become another negative ONS statistic or have to go to their GP for Social Prescribing – You can use the service today.
