about us

welcome!

my name is christi,

i am the founder of iamlovingkindnessnetwork.

our service was born out of covid-19. the pandemic transformed the way we all communicate, forcing employees, families and friends to virtually connect. it was quickly evident that a deeper more authentic virtual experience was urgently needed to maintain our integrity of self, affirm our place in the global village and enrich and protect our mental wellness.

my background is in corporate communications, fintech and hcm. eastern & western wellness practices have always been a point of fascination for me and a life long journey of discovery that led me to achieve a teaching accreditation in; western & eastern anatomy, mind & meditation and a humbling public teaching role in west london (pre covid-19). i am an accredited yoga, mind & meditation teacher. i was taught by a guru shiv charan singh (the same teacher to maya fiennes who is very well known as the guru to the hollywood set).

the eastern and western science behind the benefits of mindfulness to wellness is widely advocated in society today and we should be more open if not already incorporating contemplative practices into our every day lives

mindfulness-based interventions are associated with positive outcomes and used daily or a couple of times a week can sincerely maintain a sustained level of mental wellness. the benefits which are enormous can flow into all areas of our lives

mindfulness involves intentionally remembering to pay attention to the present moment experience – a disposition that defies our default preoccupation with analysing and obsessing about the past or charting out and worrying about the future (so-called mind wandering). exhausting and caustic to the human experience.

everyone needs to invest in their mental wellness daily – the pandemic has made a daily checkin of our mental health/wellness a norm and is now a regular part of our society’s conversation. hallelujah!

the pandemic inspired the moment to put together a set of practices, to connect us all in the virtual global village thus creating a community to counter the negative impacts of pandemic social isolation. the practices we use are western science based & are communicated using the english language that promote mental wellness that then creates a meaningful, healthy life. their effects are amplified in a virtual regular group that creates community,  belonging, transformation and a daily feeling of wellbeing. the power of the human voice when it is heard by others and heard by ‘the self’, it can transform us & nurture a daily sense of wellbeing.

every human needs to take care of their mental wellness daily. everything we do starts with the first thought. living from a stress response state can take an almighty toll on our minds and bodies. nourish your mental wellness daily, sweep away the ants (automatic negative thoughts) to create a resilient, healthy, joyful mind.

what sets us apart from the mental wellness apps is we are a live, fluid service, our members meaningfully engage with us instead of passive intervention. human connection in our virtual world is more important than ever and we have designed our service to create a virtual space daily for this real connection to take place every day.

we know every day is different and for their own reasons members might want their privacy/anonymity and they can do that by choosing to have the cameras off and just listening into the session that day. tomorrow they may want to be more involved. either way it’s up to them.

iamlovingkindnessnetwork daily sessions creates a momentum in people’s lives to turn up daily, to protect & nurture their mental wellness whilst holding a virtual space for others. this service will go on for many years serving our global mental wellness.

as part of our monthly unlimited membership and we livestream daily group sessions on zoom. each session runs for approx 30 mins. we recommend you attend six sessions to acclimatise you to our format, settle down the ‘ants’ and then you will be able to absorb the narrative, the practices, listen actively to others and then reflect deeply on the changes you have experienced in your body and mind.

everything we do at iamlovingkindnessnetwork promotes mental wellness for our members. essentially our entire focus is to help our members cultivate and maintain a strong, resilient, calm and healthy mind and safe guarding healthy cognitive functions.

mental wellness enables us to relax more, think more clearly and sleep well, we are more resourceful & creative. this makes it easier for us to tap into our intuition, ‘our common sense’.

this harmonised way of thinking helps us plan, manage and perform at our best for the ‘new normal’ that has yet to be decided.

living in a stress response state effects our metabolism and our immunity which doesn’t allow for the body to naturally recover if we keep releasing a tsunami of cortisol and adrenaline into our nervous system.

as humans we are hard wired with a stress response to keep us safe. however due to the pandemic we have craved safety and assurance. we have focused on the news more than usual to give us the insights which daily have been so uncertain.

coupled with having our world turned upside down this sets off the ants (automatic negative thoughts) and over time this stress response can cause anxiety, back pain, overwhelm, stress, social anxiety, paranoia, anger, over eating, over reacting,

iamlovingkindnessnetwork is not a static program. we are a ‘fluid’ live service. we are part of our members daily lives. we livestream our morning and evening sessions over zoom which are designed to flood our members with positivity and sweep away the daily ‘ants’ residue that can cause problems later.

our sessions are held in a respectful way, holding the space for all. the iamlovingkindness facilitator takes the members through the uplifting material/content  and leads on affirmations which members can participate out loud or mentally affirm. if there is time members may have time to check in and in two or three words say how they feel that morning or evening.

if there is time for shares members will be invited to share on content in the session always from the their perspective and not cross sharing on what others may of said already

our service is designed for human beings

service designed for humans

our service is designed for human beings. our sessions are attended by our members who are collectively live in the global village and are over the ages 17+  daily sessions can only be accessed via the iamlovingkindnessnetwork members hub.

we hope that members will want to share their voice in the sessions for example by ‘checking in, in the morning sessions or sharing their ‘three good things today’ in our evening sessions. if not that’s ok too no one is pressured into participating more than they want to. members do not have to have the camera on in a session if for their own reasons they want their privacy/ anonymity.

we provide over 50+ sessions a month before & after 9-5 traditional work hours. each session runs for approx 30 mins. we recommend you attend six sessions to acclimatise you to our format, settle down the ‘ants’ and then you will be able to absorb the narrative, the practices, listen actively to others and then reflect deeply on the changes you have experienced in your body and mind.

a consistent morning routine

having a consistent positive morning routine boosts happiness, increases productivity, reduces stress levels and gets us grounded for the day. if we start on the ‘right foot’ our day will probably follow that tempo. it sets up to start our mornings with intention, rather than letting the day run away from us. lifting our mood and energy levels. our morning commentary throughout the session is motivating, connecting us & reminded us how special we all are and serves as a daily dose of lovingkindness

our morning check in to share how we feel is normally it’s limited to 2 or 3 words depending on how many people are in the session & of course you don’t have to do it. it’s really powerful, it connects the group, it allows the member to express their thoughts out loud, we become more aware of what is going on in the mind instead of being in state of automatic negative thinking (ants). this awareness creates room to change behaviours. it might be the only time members get say how they feel that day. do this daily it’s a game changer!

we use morning group affirmations as well. we all have a need to maintain the integrity of the self, a global sense of personal adequacy. events that threaten self-integrity arouse stress and self-protective defences that can hamper performance and growth. positive affirmations can boost our confidence, reduce negativity, reduce self belief and produce positive changes in many areas of our lives. they act really quickly. the session facilitator leads the group in the morning affirmation. you can read more here

a place to go every evening to unwind

relax and unwind evening sessions

our evening sessions are a designed to defragment/process your mind at the end of your day. they also promote better sleep. after our heartening evening commentary members are invited to share on the ‘three good things*’ and then we then finish the session with a gratitude practice. we have sunday night program as well for members who want to settle any assumptions for the coming week ahead – please see our evening page for more information on evening wellness practices.

*three good things practice is about focusing on the positive moments, experiences, people, that we may sometimes take for granted or not notice all together. recalling these experiences reaffirms in the memory, put’s life into perspective which lift’s our mood and dissolves crumbs of potential negativity building up (ants). promotes sleep, people who experience greater positive emotions tend to put more effort into overcoming obstacles, perform better at work, less stress & be more confident.

our 10 minute evening gratitude practice promotes resilience and a positive mood. as we experience positive emotions such as gratitude, loving-kindness, and compassion, our awareness broadens and our creativity and problem-solving capabilities blossom, and we become more effective in whatever we choose to do. members literally feel the stress of the day loosens its grip and at the end we are relaxed and ready to settle in for a good nights sleep. you can read more here
